For Everyone
This is a UK users only based service and as such we need to ensure registrants are indeed in the UK. This helps every user when they know that every freelancer and every job/contract/project is also based in the UK.
By using our address picker system you are confirming that you are a UK resident with a right to work and/or employ people in the UK.
This is covered by our Terms & Conditions document which you will also receive in an email when you sign up to our service.
We never share nor display any part of your your address or physical location with anyone, we also advise you not to do so either.
You should also read our Privacy Policy too.
We use your address to show relevant job or freelancer listings near you and to provide distance estimates for jobs & freelancers. This ensures a more localized experience with accurate job & freelancer search results as well as nationwide searches. We only ever display the town or city name, e.g. Manchester, London, Glasgow, Newcastle etc., on any job listings or freelance profiles.
Our service is a match making one that puts freelancers and employer/job posters in touch with each other, we don't participate in any way and, we provide reminders on the contact service areas about revealing anything in the initial contact between both parties. When and what you share with anyone you contact through our service is down to you and only when you feel comfortable doing so. We will never reveal anything about you to anyone, other than what you have in your profile or job listing.
For employers & businesses you can use the company details and the same rules will apply, we will never reveal anything other than the business name and town/city the business is located in.

Not entirely! These skills & services can still be very broad e.g. digital marketing, writing, project management, consultancy, videography, sound engineer, drone pilot, music production, digital painter/artist and the list goes on...
You don't need to be a computer programmer or an application designer/developer to register, you don't even need to be an expert computer user to register as a freelancer. Employers can also be looking for freelancer's who offer non-digital expertise/services too.

No! We will never charge you for using our services, nor bill you, nor ask you to lodge cash or credits in your account or profile, we're different from all the rest.
From time-to-time we may bring premium services to you, these would be presented on behalf of 3rd parties and may require a purchase, but these will have nothing to do with the operation of our services,
which will always remain free to use for freelancer's and employer's.
In order to keep your data safe and to prevent someone from downloading your file[s], altering them and re-uploading to their own profile or job posting, we insist on PDF files for this.
Whilst it's still possible to edit a PDF, it's not as easy to do as say an open format document like Word, Excel, TXT or RTF files would be.
Only known web compliant image files are allowed as we display them on our pages, we can't afford to have a non-compliant image uploaded that could cause disruption to our pages/services. We also pass the image through a verification service prior to accepting your uploaded images. If our service spots something untoward, we will refuse your image, we will not discuss this with you and if an image is rejected, then review it's content and either correct it or choose another image altogether.

No we have no rate me service, we may decide to incorporate one later on if we feel it will be beneficial to us and everyone else.
In our experience, a service like this can be abused by user's who have had a bad experience of another user of the service being provided.
That wouldn't be fair on us if someone rated us badly because they had a bad experience with someone they chose to deal with through our service.
As the service provider we shouldn't be marked down for the behaviour of a very small number of our users in a private relationship that apart from the introduction we have nothing to with.
Since we cannot guarantee that every freelancer or every employer who signs-up with us is going to get on with every other person on our portal we can't utilise a rate me service at this point. If we can find a way to only have the services we provide rated, then we may eventually have a rate me service.

Every profile and job detail has a 'Report' button which will allow you to raise an issue, the messages entered here go directly to us and we will investigate if required.
There are details on the window that will pop up to guide you in this.
You need to be a registered user and logged in to make a report, we don't allow unregistered passers-by to complain about or report a freelancer or a job detail.
Normal operations of the portal i.e. searches for profiles and jobs, messaging, sharing etc., are optimised for use on a small screen like a phone.
Your own account and profiles/job details management screens are a full CMS type of layout and, while we have endeavoured to make these work on phones, they may not always be conducive.
We recommend for managing your details, profiles, jobs, applications & messages that you utilise a device with a larger screen and then you will see the real benefit of having everything visible and will find it much easier to glance at your current state.

Yes you can see the share button on every profile/job and you can click the share button and the various available popular share types will be displayed.
To share your own profile or job, you can do this by searching for it as normal and when you find it you can click the share button.
Skills move fast and change over time and, whilst we have identified most of the 'core' skills people have and employer's would need, these are not exhaustive.
We understand that we will not have every single 'niche' skill out there and, to that end we have provided you with a 'Missing Skills' button on all profiles and job details pages.
Simply use that service to inform us of the missing skill[s] and we will usually respond the same day and add any missing skills to the system, it could take up to 48 hours though so be aware of that for times when it's weekend, bank holidays and such like.

No we don't yet have these apps ready, but when we do, we'll let you know through the website so keep checking with us.
No! When you set the public flag to 'Off' other users can no longer download your file, even if they previously did so. You can still download it however, as you own it, this helps you to both review and/or decide to delete your files entirely.
Only files that are set to public will appear in your public profile so once you switch it off no one can either see it nor download it.
Only users who are logged in and properly registered/verified can download files from our systems.

For Freelancers
Yes you do, if you're a freelancer looking for work, jobs or contracts that is what our service is for and we need to ensure you complete your profile details after signing up.
Further you must include at least 1 skill for your profile to be found in any searches.
Yes you can do that by searching for any freelancer on the system and sending them a message!
You can also create a job/project too which will be searchable and managed by you too. You can find that on your 'My Go Freelancer' section, the link for which is in your login icon at the top of every page. Your job/project will appear in normal freelancer work searches and when you publish your project or job, we will send a message to any matching freelancers letting them know about your new project.

Yes you can, on your profile management pages you can set your availability by setting a date when you're available again.
If you're not available, there will be no 'contact' button displayed on your profile so no one will be able to disturb you with new requests if you're busy.
You may still receive emails and sometimes direct messages when either a new job that you match up to is posted or someone whom you were previously in touch with can still reply to your messages. If you wish to end your unavailable status simply clear the date field and update your profile and you will return to normal service.

You can upload any PDF file to your profile, but we thoroughly recommend that any personally sensitive or personally identifiable types of files do not get uploaded to your profile or our service generally.
We recommend that you adjust your files and remove any personally identifiable details first e.g. street addresses and telephone numbers, or email addresses.
If you check the button to 'make public' on any files, then every user (logged in) can see and download them to their own devices.
Remember that once a user has a file they downloaded from your profile, even if you uncheck the 'make public' box, they will still have your file, but no one else can download it if you have made it unavailable.
For Employers
No! The details you supply and are verified when you register will form the basis of your profile, there is no need to complete anything else after registration.
The easiest and quickest way is to search for what or who you are looking for and contact them directly through their profile details page.
If you post a job however, you will have more control over the replies and applicants, you can set a budget and closing date for applications to be received and easily find and read every message received.
Any messages you reply to, the user will see a 'View Job Detail' button where they can go straight to the job again. Posting a job and having applications will also benefit the freelancer as their activities will also be logged on their side and they can see all their applications and messages sent/received too.
Finally, when posting a job we will seek out matching freelancer's on your behalf and alert them to the new job posting. If your job is likely to have a lot of responses, then this method of operating may be best, however, if your project or job is very niche, finding the freelancer yourself and making direct contact may be the best way.

If you have got to such an advanced stage with your chosen freelancer, then please use your normal email program and send these files directly to the freelancer as an attachment in a private email.
